After the weather disaster we experienced last week, we as a community of small businesses and makers felt the need to come together in support of a local organization doing good. So many people were affected by the extreme cold and snow that crippled our city and state. We saw first hand how necessary it was for people to come together, helping their neighbors and those who were most vulnerable.
Partnerships for Children leads a collection of programs that offer resources, support and comfort for foster children and families in our community. They connect with kids at all stages in their lives and provide real and impactful solutions, including:
Providing a supply room in CPS buildings that is open 24/7 in case a child needs something any time of day. It could be toiletries, school supplies, a toy, diapers, or clothing.
Community mentors to youth who are likely to age out of the foster care system, empowering them to live independently.
Gifts to make the magic of the holidays a reality for children who need it most.
And helping children who have been waiting to be adopted find a forever home with a loving family.
A big Thank You to everyone who donated a prize to make this fundraiser possible.
